Papir 2001 was the 4th International Symposium held at Porta Coeli, Predklasteri, Czech Republic 2001.
The symposium took place in a small town in Czech Republic dominated by a paper factory and a crumbling monastery. The artists came from Czech Rep, Poland, (the former)East Germany, Russia, Ukraine and S.Africa.
Materials; Stone, brick, slate, ceramics, paper, candles, foliage, cherries. Variable Dimensions, room size 3.5 x 3.5 x 3m.
I created an installation inspired by the experiences of this 2 week workshop. The exhibition was transferred in a new form to Synagoga Na Palmovce, Prague. Photographer; Ondrej Krejci.
